The Fairview Boutique Hotel
A welcoming stay in the centre of Killarney

About Fairview Boutique Hotel

The Fairview Boutique Hotel offers a comfortable and inviting base in the centre of Killarney. Its story began more than a century ago with a small café run by Mary McGillicuddy, known as Nana Mac, whose work ethic and warmth shaped the generations who followed.
What started as a terraced café in the 1950s grew into a family home, a modest B&B, a four star guesthouse, and, in 2014, the boutique hotel it is today.

A family run hotel guided by generations

A legacy of welcome, shared for generations

The Fairview remains family owned and managed by James and Shelley O’Neill, together with their three sons. Their family has welcomed guests for decades, long before online bookings or modern tourism.
This heritage continues to guide the hotel’s character. Many guests comment on the genuine warmth, the familiar faces and the sense of care that reflects a legacy passed down through generations.

Thoughtful comfort throughout

Comfort to truly unwind

Rooms and suites have evolved from their early B&B layout into calm, well appointed spaces. Soft finishes, quality linens and considered details create a comfortable place to return to after a day exploring the town or the national park.
The Lobby Lounge and Garden Terrace offer relaxed spaces to pause with a coffee, enjoy a light bite or unwind before heading out.

Pet Friendly Hotel

We are a pet-friendly hotel and welcome well-behaved dogs to stay with their owners at the Fairview Hotel Killarney. Pets are charged at €30 per pet, per night, and must be booked directly with the hotel in advance to ensure availability.

Guide dogs and registered service dogs are always welcome. Fresh water bowls can be provided on arrival, and our team is happy to recommend nearby outdoor areas for walks and comfort breaks.
