Excerpt from "Hotel Reviews Ireland" Dinner was anticipated with some excitement, and when my dining companion arrived we did spend time over the menu. There were nine starter choices and we settled for the Smoked and Marinated Salmon with Prawn Wonton, Mango Salsa and Coriander Créme Fraiche for guest; and my absolutely delicious Chargrilled Tuna with an Asian Salad and Sweet Chilli Dressing. While both were very good and generous, I have to say that my tuna was seared to perfection and was one of the best starters I have ever enjoyed. For the mains we went all fish again, with monkfish and sea-bass respectively, but could have tried lamb, duck, chicken, beef and several other tempting choices. The chef here is a young lady called Laura, and her cooking is both generous and sophisticated. Yes, the food was good – very good. | ||
